1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the PDFtan web platform, online tool studios, or developer REST APIs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any portion, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Acceptable Use and Document Ownership
You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of all documents, images, and files you upload to PDFtan. You agree not to use the service to process, convert, or distribute malware, illegal content, or documents that infringe on intellectual property rights.
3. Fair Use & Free Quota Policy
PDFtan grants every visitor and registered user a generous daily quota allowance (50-800 tasks/day). Automated abuse or DDoS attacks that degrade service availability for other users will result in automated IP rate limiting.
4. Developer REST API Usage
Developers integrating PDFtan API endpoints must maintain secure API key storage and respect standard rate limit headers (HTTP 429).
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
PDFtan is provided “as is” with 99.9% target uptime. While our headless processing pipelines achieve industry-leading conversion fidelity, PDFtan is not liable for data loss arising from network interruptions or corrupted original files.
